(1) A person who violates section 9 will be fined up to two thousand rupees and such pesticide will also be confiscated.
(2) A person who imports or exports, manufactures or violates Section 12 in violation of Section 11 shall be imprisoned for up to five years or fined up to fifty thousand rupees and a person who uses or sells in contravention of Section 11 shall be imprisoned for up to one year and fined up to ten thousand rupees. Such pesticides will also be confiscated.
(3) Apart from what is written in sub-sections (1) and (2) above, a person who causes any action contrary to this Act and the regulations made under this Act shall be fined up to one thousand rupees.
